The usual series of very popular hourly Summer Evening Concerts opened yesterday evening at the Sutton on Sea Methodist Church with the resounding successful Alford Silver Band, who performed magnificently to a packed audience a variety of both modern and classical music. They played superbly under the baton of Richard Walker, their resident Conductor.

Their second piece was announced as a Fitting Tribute to the Victims and all involved in the recent atrocities which occurred in Manchester and London and Margaret Shenton, 92 years, the founder member of the Music Club, who died on the 26th May. The chosen piece, which was performed in complete silence was the wonderful Ariosto composed by Johnann Sebastian Bach, which was played with feeling and perfection. Credit must also go to the member of the band who introduced each piece of music with professional efficiency. Thank you A S B for a most wonderful evening. A programme for the remaining concerts are shown.
